There are many symptoms of virus infection. Keep an eye out for the following:

• Random pop-ups
• Blue screen
• Random computer restarts
• Voiceover saying your PC is infected, or threatening messages
• Random errors on the screen

If any of these is happening, the faster you shut down your computer the better. If unable to shut it down, hold the power button for five seconds or simply pull the plug.
